Hi Bruce,
I just got back from Bali last week. Our flight was as follows: we left adelaide, flew to Sydney then onto Denpasar. On the way back we stopped off in Darwin in the early hours before arriving in adelaide. We flew Qantas. Some people on our return flight were going to melboune and had to go via adelaide. I think garuda is the only ones who fly direct.
Even though we thought Darwin would be hell it went quite quickly because by the time you get through customs and immigration its almost time to depart again.
