That doesn't sound too bad - we fly out via Melbourne (50 minutes stopover) but on the way back, through Darwin where we wait for 7 hours! I'm not sure if it is because of the package, but we are also using a frequent flyer ticket; hope that its worth it! We booked 5 months prior - and only got the last seat. So please book earlier (esp school holdiays)
