We spent our honeymoon at the Ritz Carlton in Jimbaran Beach. Had a wonderful time at the Ritz, amazing pool, service fantastic. However, we were sorely disappointed in Bali. It is NOT a tropical paradise...the beaches were OK...everyone in the forum raved about the food at Jimbaran Beach...we were told by numerous Balinese that the food was not hygenic...it looked like a bunch of shacks to me...I wouldn't eat there if you paid me. I have traveled throughout the world...if you are looking for a tropical paradise..try Tahiti, Hawaii or the Caribbean. I'm sure I will annoy a lot of people who love Bali..but we just did not see what all the fuss is about.
