My husband & I are leaving in 3 weeks, and we had a heck of a time deciding where to stay.
From reading other people's messages, it seemed like Kuta was a big, overcrowded, tourist hole. Our brochure about our trip even described Kuta as a "typical North American GHETTO"! This did not sound appealing at all.
Tuban sounded nice, based on other people's ideas. However, the hotel choices we had, didn't seem very good compared to the other choices we had in different towns. (Either no pool, or far from the beach).
We ended up choosing Nusa Dua (I think this is the right spelling). We heard the beach was still pretty nice, but less populated, which is what we like. We also heard good things about our hotel. Other than that, we don't know a whole lot!! What do you know of this place? If it's bad, I don't want to know about it now 'cause the tickets are paid for!!! (Just kidding. Ha! Ha!).
