I arrived in March this year.
I paid for the VOA with a $A100 note and received Rp 500,000 in change. The exchange rate used was better than the airport money changers who were only offering Rp 9,400 for $A1.
The VOA Payment Counter took my photograph and asked for my e-mail address. They told me that they were going to e-mail my receipt to me which I thought was silly as I was standing there. They stuck a sticker in my passport.
I could see the Auto Gates on my left, but I went to the far right to the > 60 queue. At that counter, Imigrasi stuck another sticker over the VOA Payment Counter sticker
In retrospect, I could have tried to immediately download my new e_VOA and used the Auto Gates.
Next stop after Imigrasi. was Customs where I showed a hard copy version of the QR code to the customs camera. This code came from the E-CD. I was waved through.
