if you pay on arrival (and not do it online before) then get them to take your email etc and convert it to an e-visa. That way you can access the smartgates, receive your stay permit by email and also extend online if necessary
If you choose to do the ECD online at arrivals then be prepared to wait to use the terminals.
Less fuss and easier if all are done online before arriving
