I recently visited the Elephant Cave near Ubud.
The car park has Blue signs showing designated parking areas for cars/scooters and tour buses.
I do not recall any reference to parking fees on the signage.
We rode our hire scooter there, paid the entry fee for the temple and spent a couple of hours checking it out.
As we exited the carpark onto the main road a gentleman attempted to flag us down demanding a parking payment, I assumed this was a scam or attempted robbery so i gunned the throttle and manoeuvred around this gentleman and rode back to my lodgings in Ubud.
In the past i have parked a scooter at other temples and never had to pay for parking.
Anyone else experienced this?
