Good to know that others have traditions too. I always have mee goreng and Bintang beer for my first lunch in Bali. It is in honour of Murnis's (and I have it there if I can) because they saved the day when I first arrived in Bali. We couldn't find a place to stay, and my travelling companion was having a meltdown. They looked after our luggage while we had lunch and cooled down. It was all plain sailing after that. Thirty years ago.
