Had the delight once of sharing a hotel with 3 football teams (rugby I think but all of the same ilk). Used to have 50 guys drinking bintang in the pool neck deep. Never saw any get out for the toilet so the concept of a swim was less than attractive. All good reasons to leave Kuta etc behind and visit Ubud, candidasa (or Sanur). Compared with Kuta all very quiet but well worth it for the relax and ideal for family life. Certainly adequate eating establishments at any of these locations.
At least schoolies have a certain immature charm.
