As a room boy, reckons occupancy was at 40% 2 weeks ago when we were there, he said rooms are tired but the owners ( several) don't care about refurbishing but spending more money in acquiring more hotels elsewhere for their portfolio. They are charging the same price or more than some of the other hotels in the area. My mate said people who have booked for a 2 week holiday there have checked out after a few days due to the hotels condition and have booked elsewhere . Btw the wife and i stayed here once 8 years ago in a deluxe room and it was a piece of sheeeeet then, but at least made a lifelong friend out of it :-). Only good thing i could say about jayakarta apart from me mate is the location and the access to the beach !
