Flew from Perth last night on AA, flight was delayed a bit so we landed at 12.08am.....the airport ways mayhem.....huge lines, it took 1.5 hours to get through the airport and into a taxi.....didn't get to the hotel in 66 road till 2am....we know this can happen but honestly it is really bad form, everyone we speak to has horror stories to tell, a work mate recently took 3 hours to get through...WHY ????
Last night there were lots of people with small children and I really felt for them....what a way to say welcome to Bali NOT !!!!
The Taxi stand has no publicised rates so you are really at their mercy, they don't speak just say the amount and give no advice or instructions...things a first time traveller is going to find daunting !!!
The rate to 66 road was 100,000 then driver asked for another 50,000 because we had many bags....geez by this time we were a bit over it !!!!
On a happier note we are here now, the weather is lovely...exchange rate is 10880 so no complaints there !!!!
After a trip up to the Bintang a swim is on the cards and then a massage...big programme for today ;)
