HRN Lovina via Bedugul to Legian
I really think we could of had another day here (stayed 3 nights) but the time has come. We have arranged our driver to do some stops. 1 lake Bratan for the temple now we had read we could canoe around on the lake but when we arrived we had the choice speed boat, jet ski, canoe OR duck shaped paddle boat ( I kid you not) T was adamant it should be a duck I agreed but only if it was the pink one even the organiser thought we were bonkers he was laughing and then made us do a photo shoot for him, 20 photos later sore stomach muscles from laughing and a circle up to the temple and back the man was run off his feet from other tourists, cost 35000 experience and memories priceless.
2. Off to the candi kuning markets lots if food and trinkets, looks like crackers bar has closed but there was a lovely coffee shop called eat drink love with fabulous art work, trinkets and slogan sayings , coffee was good and the atmosphere eclectic and homey next store to crackers old place. One of the stores opened all their packets if food so we could try rather then guessing what it was she said no cost but we ended up buying a lot because she was so helpful. I'm loving the mangosteens so sweet and juicy.
3. We then left to see the most amazing rice terraces and monkeys along the way. We asked to stop for lunch
And our driver stopped at one of the many restaurants built for tourists we explained we wanted to go a warung and wanted local food he was concerned 2 girls and tourist but relented and found a local one he uses negotiated our price ( local price not tourist) and ordered for us we got satay beef rice and some soup ( I'm sure it was kidney and liver ) very tasty and 2 cokes about $8 for both of us, loving it!
Then on to Legian ...... Such a culture shock alive with energy and traffic. I haven't been since 2009 and wow what a difference and I have to say I'm not to sure wether I like it, at this current stage my next holiday with the family here will some where else, perhaps back to Lovina :)
Headed straight off to Debbie's we are staying at The Mandira ( got a deal it would be too expensive with the family) and got the low down on prices and spent a fortune, so glad my shopping genes have kicked in. Off to Matahari didn't find much this trip dinner was at a place called something like ----- colada food was nice but nothing to rave home about. A cheap foot massage then retired for the night.
Questions for anyone who can help
How much are people paying for nike shoes?
Anyone know a nice cheap warung? ( can't believe the price increase down south lol)
Now the rest of the crew have started to arrive I'm sure there will be some antics to share
Thanks for reading
