because of overhead luggage is the only sensible blog on this subject.how could a pilot or ground staff estimate the weight of 200 passengers, who may weigh between 40kg or 140kg?.if a 737 or airbus 320 had 200 people at 140 kg with 50 kg of luggage each it would not be 50% of their freight carrying capacity.the only weights monitered are tons of fuel and tons of air freight you see being loaded in containers. passengers luggage is a limit set by the space in the hold more than weight
