By "gilis" I'm assuming you mean the 3 gilis off the north-west coast of Lombok. There are hundreds of "gilis" off the coast of Lombok (the word means small island). The best snorkeling by far is the gilis around south-west Lombok. That being said, neither spots hold a candle to Ningaloo reef in Western Australia.
