How safe are one's bags etc at the beach?
One dilemma I always have, if travelling solo or as a couple, is leaving one's day-pack / bag etc unattended on the beach or on a boat while going for a dip in the sea or while snorkelling etc? (ie: you are out in the water for 45mins or so and quite a ways from your possessions)
Are these safe from pilfering etc? Any tips or tricks to minimise risk of theft?
Only valuables are generally cash for the day (+/- R500k), compact digital camera, mobile, pocket knife/opener, room / bike keys, towel and the like.
Will be in Sanur, CD, Amed & Gili T in April/May.
