and I was wanting a change, I'd definitely go for Sanur. You get to be by the beach but without all the heavy traffic and hustle & bustle of Legian. If you're looking for affordable 2 bedroom options (with separate living area) then have a look at either 2BR Emerald suite at Villa Puri Ayu or 2BR Deluxe suite at the Ari Putri Hotel. Both are located in southern end of Sanur, both only a short stroll to the beach (VPA is a little closer). Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance or a short/inexpensive taxi ride to anywhere in Sanur. Don't be put off by some of the dated pics on Ari Putri's website - the Deluxe wing is lovely and quite newly renovated with a beautiful spa and pool area literally on your doorstep. The facade & foyer of the hotel is traditional Balinese architecture but the rooms and renovated areas are modern.
