Hi, have you had to do this? Just interested.
Both our kids had to be hospitalised in Bali in December. We were only due to be there for 4 days & kids ended up separately in hospital for 3&1/2 days.
Had insurance with TID who I've used for many years with rarely a claim.
TID just finalised the 2nd claim last week & all they didn't cover was the credit card conversion fees of 3%. A little slow in settling the 2nd claim but it was perhaps complicated by me claiming new flights & 4 days extra accommodation which they could have decided not to pay out on, technically we could have gone straight from the hospital to the airport to make our original flight in the end.
I just sent them all the medical reports from BIMC, flight & hotel expenses and all was covered bar the excess & 3% (I felt they prob should have covered the 3% fee but couldn't be bothered following it up with them since they'd paid out 3K for the rest of the claim & I was pretty happy with that despite the delay).
Am looking at taking out an annual policy with them for the first time. It is 1/2 the price that SCTI wants to charge!
