I understand why it happens. Trying to teach them about disposing of garbage correctly seems like a losing battle. The fact that you never see garbage bins on the street like we have at home shows that it's not a priority.
I was just making the observation that it happens every year at this time. If you enjoy time on the beach, then perhaps wet season isn't the best time to go. The beaches seem fairly clean around August when I usually go to Bali - but then I'd be lucky to visit the beach once or twice in the month that I'm there.
