Our last day has been at the Conrad on many trips, two things about this work for me, I come back and jump straight into frenetic so that total relaxation of not going out, peace quiet and tranquility means I go home feeling completely refreshed and I am sure there are more luxurious places, but it have been completely happy with every stay I have had here and with the suite rooms, not only do I get club benefits, but they also do free laundry, which I tested this visit, they will do A Lot!
As there was four of us we stayed in the twin suite room, which is two queen beds and I got an extra roll away. Checkin is always fast and efficient, meant to be in your suite but was not quite ready at 3 so we went to afternoon tea then taken to our room, where we changed and went for cocktails, my favourite part of the day, two hours of savouring old favourites and sampling new drinks, and lovely cocktail food, the lounge beds are comfy and it's lovely watching the sun fade and lament the conclusion of our holiday and begin the series of next time....., and fondly recount the special moments, and laugh about the silly bits. After cocktails M10 and the B/f stayed in to watch tv and have room service, and Ms 17 and I went to have our final mani/pedi, they couldn't fit us in at hotel spa, so we wandered down the street and found a nice spa with comfy chairs, aircon and sat back and enjoyed the pampering and the time together.
We did have room service at 10.30 when we returned, which was lovely and was ok, as we did have a dining table, so I didn't feel too cheated for my last dinner in Bali.
Breakfast as always was more than you can possibly choose from. Then we packed and checked out and headed off to the departure lounge, ms17 and B/f left hotel at 1pm for a 3.40 flight and we spent the afternoon by and in the pool, having one last banana fritter, afternoon tea, then showering, dressing, final pack, and off to the airport, farewell to our delightful, amazing driver.
Flight home uneventful. And all over again until Sept. We are visiting Vietnam in April, but I will always return to Bali, it is such an amazing destination.
Side note - Always find a laundry, I love coming home with no washing and smelling like Bali for a couple of weeks.
We always do a mix of favourites and new, with food, shopping, activities, accomodation and destinations, but we always use the same driver, he was recommended on our first trip and he has been an absolute Gem to us.
I now get a Bali sim for data and calls (texts) used to just use phone and rely on wifi but I like the convenience and I can still snapchat!
Feel like a rock star get your hear done every couple of days at a spa!
I have enjoyed sharing, and has been made all the more enjoyable by the lovely comments, thank you and a huge thank you to those that post as I have had my holidays enhanced by others sharing their experiences and adding to resources. Now off to work and plan for the next escape, and live vicariously through others JBR/HNR!
