this year. I was travelling with my mother and aunty in a 2 bedroom villa in Seminyak in April. As I had been to Bali before and it was their first time, I knew the money better. We had been to BMC and got money for the next couple of days. My mum and aunty gave me their share of the driver's money, a tour we were going on and the departure tax and I left it in a paper bag. All up around 2 million rp. There were no in room safes but safety deposit boxes up at reception which we had been putting our money along with passports etc in there.This particular day we were in a hurry so I was going to hide the bag with money in one of my shopping bags (I had ALOT of shopping bags) in the wardrobe but my aunty said just put it under the mattress. BIG STUPID MISTAKE. Room service came and cleaned our rooms while we were out and the next morning I went to get the money as we were checking out and yes only 300k rp left. Robbed blind but I thought well it was our stupid mistake I didn't report it but I won't be going back to that Villa again. I really had enjoyed the villa till then and left a very bad taste in my mouth but learnt a very valuable lesson about being lazy and not locking the money were it would have been safe.
