We arrived at the Semara hotel on the 20th September for six nights after a nine day stay at the Ocen Outrigger . The resort is devine and I could not fault it in any way ;) This is approx my 20th trip to Bali and we love it. I was traveling with my husband and two young children (2 and 3yrs) . We were staying in a ground floor executive suite which is perfect for a family with young children.
Unfortunately for us on the 4th night of our stay someone got into our room during the night and stole our iPad .....how or who I do not know ?? But it was the scariest situation I have ever been in.
My husband was unwell during the day and was out on the day bed all day on the iPad and when we went to bed we put the iPad under the bench to charge overnight. During the night my husband and I both woke due to a noise but thougth nothing of it ! I checked on the kids both asleep in beds beside us .
When we woke the following morning at 530am we noticed one of the iPads missing, the other iPad and my wallet still there. I contacted the hotel front desk straight away and security came to the room. This is were it all went really bad as they were trying to say we lost the iPad or a friend had it etc etc and then the general manager treated us like idiots. He then told my husband to go in a cab at our expense and make a police report if he wanted to. There was no support from the hotel staff or further investigation to try and find who got into our room .....I was not concerned about the iPad as I was for the safety of my family !!! I have stayed in many many property's in Bali and never been treated like this !!! This hotel ticks all the boxes but when you are treated poorly when some thing goes bad you would have to think twice ??
