Money small notes...

Is it easy enough to go into a bank and change say 200,000 rupiah into 5,000 and 10,000 and 20,000 rupiah notes. I guess what i'm politely asking is do they speak english enough to understand or will money exchangers happily give small notes if asked when changing money?
