So off to Lovina we go. 6 women in a bus going over the mountain was an interesting experience. Particularly with their bladders. But anyway we managed to arrive and it wasn't too slow with all the trucks delivering and receiving soil from the mountains. I could not believe how many their were transporting soil for construction. Peronally I loved Lovina its like a little country town and very relaxed. We stayed at Aneka and couldn't complain. If your looking for a massage Nyoman out the front of Aneka is absolutely awesome. Of course we did the 5.30am start to go and see the dolphins. I have not experienced anything so funny in a loooong time ! See (what felt like) 100's of little boats swarming left and right at the sight of a fin is comical. Also the reaction of european and asian tourists was a joy to see. Needless to say watching the sun rise made the experience definitely worthwhile. Cost around $6 each. Next day off to the hot springs. Unusual to swim in a warm pool in the middle of nowhere. The spouts which are full on where great therapy for our backs. Should out to Lumbung Restaurant and Bar, Lovina...its amazing how happy 4 women can be with a proper stubby cooling to keep our Bintang cold and also the food is good... Next stop Candi Dasa and apparently the longest journey of our trip.
Candi Dasa....let's just say our bus driver was a mad man ! Even went off road (literally) a couple of times, but we did survive the experience. Candi Dasa is small. We only stayed 1 night which was probably just as well. Think it would be a great place for a honeymoon. Ate at Crazy Kangaroo and it was absolutely beautiful and with a live band. Also visited New Queen pub and had a couple of beverages and chat to the staff which is always interesting. Next stop Ubud.. jbr 3 to come
