Just wanted to bring to your attention a problem that I have found. I have booked a return flight and the fare rules state that flight changes can be made with a fee incurred. However, when I contacted Garuda it turns out that apparently on the fare class I am in this is not the case. Outbound changes are not permitted at all, and inbound flight changes eg DPS to BNE are only able to be changed once you have arrived in Indonesia.
So just be aware of this. It is a bit frustrating because even in the confirmation email I received from them it links to the fare rules which say changes are permissable.
I have just emailed them to see if I get a different answer but I am not hopeful!! I will also be arriving when the APAC conference is on so I was aware that my flight departure time would be changed, yet have had no contact from Garuda advising this. I asked him if I would get a new itinerary and the agent said, there is no need you ticket will still suffice. I said that is fine, but just wondering when you were going to alert me to the changes to my flights as you have not done so to date!!!
