Most outdoor activities are closer to Ubud than Kuta so you could try anything...Bali Buggies, cycling with Baik Baik, quad bikes, white water rafting, canyon tubing, Bali Safari & Marine Park, Bali Reptile park, Bali Zoo etc....
Then in Ubud central there is the Monkey Forest Park, the art museums, the markets, the restaurants and shops.
Just outside of Ubud you could go along Teggalalang (? spelling)see the rice field terraces and cafes and shops.
Indoor activities such as jewellery making, kite making, dance lessons, perfume making are also available.
Pop into the tourist centre (horrible toilets) on the corner by the markets and collect the brochures for all these things and more.
