Candi dasa - day trip advice

Just after any suggestions for a day trip from candi dasa. We have 2 nights but only one full day. Would like to use that day to discover the area as we have never been here before. Was thing the Water Palace, telanganang, and perhaps Amed.
Any suggestions appreciated.
