hubby & I visited the cemetery at Trunyan on 11 June. We hired driver Dean to take us. He has a 4WD and he organised a "minder" to meet us well before we got to Trunyan to ensure we were not hassled on the way. We parked next to the lake and were asked for 500,000 to transport the us to the cemetery. I told them it was too expensive, they refused to reduce the price and I went back into the car and loudly told Dean to take us away.
The price immediately dropped to 300,000 which I was assured would include the donation to the cemetery & we accepted the price, got into the boat. There were 2 men rowing the boat, Dean, myself & hubby + our minder.
We spent as long as we wanted at the cemetery, were asked to sign the visitors book on departure and a donation was mentioned. I gestured to our minder, said that the donation was included in our arranged price, to which he agreed. Once we got back, I paid the 300,000.
There were no hassles, we were not rushed and did not feel threatened in any way.
