Business class now twice the price?

What the? I've been keeping an eye out for business class deals with both Virgin and Garuda and they've been around the $800 mark per leg for ages. Now suddenly they're $1750 per leg. I've been looking at both May and Sept-Oct.
Did I miss something or is $1750 the standard price?
