Reviews on hiring GPS please

Would love to know your experiences on hiring your own car and using a hired GPS please. I'm going to hire my first car in Bali soon (always used drivers previously) & now want to drive myself. I'm going to hire a GPS and would like to explore more of Bali but would like to know what experiences you had with your hired GPS first.
