TID Clearly mentioned "A beer or two"! The majority of adults would not be affected in any way by one standard drink and I would have thought it would be determined by a blood alcohol percentage not a beer or a bottle?this clearly is not the case as they say a "beer or two", so any amount showing up even .02 can be deemed by TID as alcohol being a contributing factor.
This of cause would possibly only be used in circumstances of clear drunkenness, but in the event of a big claim like "Death" by being run over as you mentioned,any amount could void a claim.
Glad I read their plain language terms anyway because it also mentions loss or damage/breakage between handing over your checked luggage to airport staff and picking it up at the other end is also not covered by travel insurance.
