yeah we are kind of in the same boat been 14 times and feel we need to do something different,we have had some great days out booking a driver for around 350K-400K a day
1 we did the butterfly farm the garden temple [really nice] the hot springs lunch overlooking the rice terraces mengwi and then tanah lot
2ubud then up to lake bratan gitgit falls singarajah lunch at lovinia and back
3east coast drive to bat cave/temple the bali aga village lunch at chandi dasa padang bai and then the water palace at tirtingatta
4 day trip to nusa lembongan was really nice
5there was also an escorted trip we booked through either creative or one of the other oz based agents which was tour denpassar produce markets visit a family compound see how bricks are made[very interesting] meet a village elder[who was a prince] and tour a school then meet a gamelan group and learn how to play the drums and visit a banana grower and then the eco tourism coffee deal hope this helps
