Alcohol out of Bali

Hi everyone,
Bought a bottle of blue label at Sydney duty free to give to a friend when I return from our trip to Bali.
Mentioned it to someone & they advised that I better drink it up as I'm not able to take it out of Bali, even in checked in luggage
Is this true??

It's unopened. I would rather drink it than lose it at Bali customs
