Last weeks W/E paper had an article stating that Australians spend was just one third of what it was pre 2002.
It also stated that Australian average stays are down to three or four days.
This W/E paper states that "WA shares boom with Bali".
Rob Broadfield writes "new restaurants and resorts are opening almost daily to cater for the growing appetite for luxury accommodation and world-class dining".
He also says that "there is a strong West Australian contingent buying holiday homes on the island".
I wonder if Tony Barass who wrote last weeks article was actually in Bali??
I think that Broadfields reflections are more accurate than what was served up last week , but either way at least one of these journos need to scrub up on their research skills.
