I mean no disrespect, but why is it the monkeys fault when people enter the home of a wild animal and try to handfeed it while no doubt expecting the monkey to sit and behave like it was in a high class restaurant. Expect to be mobbed if you have food.
As for someone with a slingshot...it gives me the horrors! I saw a "mature" couple a couple of years ago, who had armed themselves with a hunk of tree, about 3 feet long - they each had one, and as they walked up the path, they would threaten any monkey in their way. I saw them push a mother monkey, with baby in her tummy, with their tree branch, and when the male growled at them, they both flailed their "weapons" at him. I saw red and went to talk to them - the man said "these monkeys are aggressive and we need to protect ourselves".
When will people learn to have respect?
