Have stayed at both and IMHO the Puri Raja wins hands down. I think it depends what you are looking for , I like the Puri as I love the location ( Legian as opposed to Tuban ) , like the ambiance ( smaller hotel ) and I consider it great value for money - if you can get in . Yes , go to Ubud it is lovely and there are some great hotels. Feel free to email me with any questions :)
