We have been staying and shopping in Poppies II for nearly 2 decades and whilst I agree with some of your "generalised" comments, its just not the case. Really depends on your approach and attitude to the seller/shop you approach too ...
At least I know there will be one less tourist complaining about shopping in Poppies II next time we're in Bali ;)
