Ubud is my most favorite place in the world. Some suggestions...
- SARI ORGANIK is a cute little cafe about a 15 min scenic walk through the rice fields off the The walk alone is worth it - stunning and serene! Check their website for directions.
- PAON COOKING SCHOOL is a pleasant way to spend the dah with a market trip and cooking class in the home of the gracious hosts about 10 mins out of Ubud.
- LAUGHING BUDDHA BAR on Jln Monkey Forest is a fun way to spend the night in an otherwise quiet nightlife. If there is a live band, this place is heaving!
- VERONA or VENEZIA SPA both on Jln Monkey Forest are excellent value spa treatments.
- LUNA BAR on Jln Goutama is a cute little bar down a little laneway that has the cheapest and most delicious happy hour cocktails. They have done sort of literature night as well once a week.
- SHOPPING is best on Jln Monkey Forest, Jln Dewi Sita and Jln Hanoman - so many cute and beautiful boutiques!
- KAFE BATAN WARU on Jln Dewi Sita has yummy food and is a great place to 'people watch' if you can get a roadside table.
- NAUGHTY NURI'S is world famous and worth going to for a one-off experience. It is a bit outside of Ubud and very 'rustic' to put it nicely. Killer martinis and ribs cooking out the front.

Enjoy...very jealous :)
