You sound so similar to my good friend - if it wasnt for the kids ages I would swear you are them! the first thing i noticed was "not taking stroller for 2 yr old" - you will SOOOO regret this if you are walkers and dont take taxis only from a to b. The weather wears the little ones out. We take one for our 5 yr old as I cant be bothered with the hassle of the struggle that inevitably happens after ooohhh, say 18 steps! The kids are great at home walking just seems to knock them out over there with the weather...Ok that being said, terrorism...look everyone is to their own. But I admire one of my friends husband who, as a football coach, was involved in the bombings, was there and lost players. They go back every year. I more worry about car accidents at home. Its a toughy and not sure but I guess people in London didnt expect the devastation they suffered. Truly a personal choice and dont let anyone brow beat you. Gastro...feel sorry for you already! pick a hotel with a bath, take Milton sterilise tablets. 2 - 3 tablets and 20 min later the bath is good to go. I ALWAYS automatically drink the shower water, curse myself and promptly forget the next time. Had more hassles with dodgy corn from a cart than the water luckily, but my stomach isnt that sensitive. You will be happy with hotel choice, dont think you can go wrong. You sound like thoughtful and careful parents so sure you will be okay. BTW, my friends went in Feb and her daughter did get a bug, they are uber sensitive kids and it didnt seem food related just something she picked up. Biggest mistake for her wasnt getting to docs early to assist in clear up. Good luck and take a chance I say!
