you probably shouldn't go, if all the above are going to worry you, you won't be able to relax and enjoy. there is no doubt yr son will swallow pool water:) if yr daughter has a sensitive tummy, it may not be the place for her, My friend is the same, 17 yrs he has been going to Bali, every time he gets the belly/gastro thing, ends up with Dr at the hotel for a shot, having said that, we have been travelling to Bali annually for a month stay for the past 12 yrs, our kids were 5&7yrs when we started, No signs ever of bali belly or sickness for any of us. I never even thought of keeping the mouth closed during shower or swimming, We have always brushed our teeth using the tap water. A couple of times "without thinking" I grabbed a glass of water in the bathroom, drank it, the result nothing, but something I wouldn't get in the habit of. We do drink bottled water and use for tea and coffee in the rooms. My suggestions for you would be, choose a good hotel, some hotels with family rooms have a bath for kids, if in doubt about food, if you staying at a good hotel eat there, or choose your resturants on its cleanliness/appearance not on the price! if it looks a bit doddgy, give it a miss. but of course thats not always the case. Personally, I think "you get what you pay for" in hotels and resturants in Bali.
