Had some good news and just wanted to post it. I am sure others have had similar happen, but also others who have been ripped off.

I changed money at our usual place. Think it is called "western union"?? Its the one immediately south of Kuta Square, next to the quicksilver shop. Almost opposite Ramayana hotel. Beach side of the main road.

I was doing about 5 different transactions this particular day (about a week ago). Changing AUD & USD for myself & friends.

Anyway, on one of the transactions I wrote $100 AUD on the form, but I actually handed over $200 AUD. Of course they gave me change for only $100 AUD, and I didnt realise until after I got back to the hotel.

I raced back to the money changer rehearsing in my mind what I was going to say, over & over. I walked in and the girl behind the counter straight away smiled and said, "I have looked after your money for you". She then handed me rupiah and a receit for the additional $100 AUD. I tipped her 100k Rupiah and thanked her very much for looking after my money. She couldnt have smiled any bigger.

They probably should have given me the extra $100 in the first place, but I am just very greatful that I ended up getting it back with no argument. It was all my fault anyway.
