Oh yeh the good old days. 20 Years ago when i first visited Bali i was travelling in a group on a trip through indonesia.
On Bali in Sanur we visited some temples, suddenly we recognised some of the souvenir/sarong sellers, we have seen them 1 hour before at another temple!!
When we left the spot in the bus we saw that all the sellers were chasing the bus on their motorbikes to the next busstop.
However nowadays there is no need anymore for chasing the busses :)
There are sooooo much salesmen/women on Bali, the tourists can now buy their favourite souvenirs everywhere!!
That is what we call 'improvement' (Imagine every tourist nowaday chased by souvenirsellers)
