I would strongly suggest you take your (their ) own chair . In most cases wheelchairs are measured and tuned to suit individual needs . That stops problems of pressure areas from a strange wheelchair . We are going over in May with our son who is in a wheelchair through a disability , this will be his 3rd trip so we know what to expect .

To be quite honest there are not a lot of wheelchair freindly places in Bali . The kerbs unless you can pop a wheelie in a wheelchair are difficult to mount without assistance . Don't get me wrong here and think I'm trying to put you off going , just beaware of the pitfalls . The saving grace in all of this is the local people who even though they don't understand will if asked assist you in anyway they can .

I don't know who you are flying with but we have never had a problem with either Garuda or AA when it comes to wheelchair handling or their handling of the passenger they will assist you through the airport proceedures on arrival and departure both ends .

Hope this helps go enjoy your trip I know my son is looking forward to his .
