About time too. I have never had a problem with the porters departing Bali only when arriving. Out of 13 trips have only had two nice porters. This time I stuck to guns and said no and so was a lot of other people. They only have themselves to blame with their blatent ripping off of people. Noticed it was easier to find trolleys also. We had a nice porter once and just as we arrived near the money changers two other porters latched on and wanted us to pay them for doing nothing. The porter we were using seemed very scared of them. I told them to buggar off, they wern,t my porter and paid the porter I was using. The VOA won,t stop it brings too much money into Bali which goes onto Jarkarta. I read this trip that they are looking at increasing fees to bring in more money.
