TID's absurd definition of unsupervised

Looked up their policy wording as it seemed reasonable to regard a taxi driver as someone who was supervising your belongings. However the TID definition of unsupervised is remarkable in its exclusion of EVERYONE other than a person you knew before your trip.

Definitely won't ever be using TID as my insurer.

TID policy excerpt below:

Unsupervised
› means leaving your luggage with a person
you did not know prior to commencing your
trip; or
› leaving it in any position where it can be
taken without your knowledge; or
› leaving it at such a distance from you that
you are unable to prevent it being taken.
