Love the Griya. Stayed there for many years until they did their renovations and priced themselves out of our range. Don't feel the need to pay quite that much for a room. However, it's in a great location and you will have everything at your fingertips (or within walking distance anyway).
I'm only surprised that you've been to Bali 7 times and don't know what's at Sanur. Never did a day trip? Wow!
We'll be in Sanur in May/June, and this time we're staying at the Swastika Bungalows. Quite a change from the Griya, or the Sari Sanur, but so what. As long as the sheets are clean and the air-con works. The Sari Sanur will be closed for renovations. Wonder what they'll put their prices up to when they're done.
