we stayed at Besakih. Our friends stayed at Griya Santrian right next door. Main differences - Griya Santrian was a lot bigger hotel and they had a buffet for breakfast, where as we had a fixed breakfast. There room was a lot newer and brighter. We had a bungalow which was a bit tired, although some of the std rooms have been done up I was told. Both hotels are in a fantastic location, with restaurants out the front and back. We paid lots less $$$$$$, which meant a lot more spending money. There is a great cycle way along the beach, Hardys is approx. a 10min walk. Sanur is a much slower pace all round.
Nusa Dua is nice but a little bit too far out with not much around. Our group was a similar age group as yours.
