Info correct from other posts. When paying your VOA, I would pay with a $50 oz note each person and that way you are given your change back in rupiah. This gives you a little money without having to stress getting to a money changer soon after you arrive.
I dont use any ATMs, but if you do, dont forget to take your card out of the machine they are different to oz.
I use cash and always take $100 notes much easier to keep track of for me.
Take your own sunscreen and bushmans insect repellent.
