JUST GO....if you worried, as advised, stay away from places where there will be large crowds, e.g. nightclubs etc. just as you would here.
I lived there for two years and with second bombing, earth tremors, etc and never contemplated leaving, anyway, the news from Bali is that they werent planning terrorists acts , just a criminal group ,robbing to provide funds for terrorism...we have that here dont we?...You are right, it is up to you, but dont be confused or fearful. I am in middle aged, always travel alone there and will take your tickets anytime!! have a good time.
