Hubby & I have been here for just over a week and this is the first opportunity I've had to sit & even think about a HNR. I always promise myself that I will do a JBR when I get back, but it never seems to happen. So here is my 1st attempt at a HNR.
We are staying at Suriwathi Hotel in Sahadewa, Legian again. This is our 3rd stay at this hotel & we love it. Our Deluxe rooms are big & clean and in a quiet area. They are building a new block out the back which should house 8 Deluxe rooms on the bottom floor & Superior rooms on the 2nd floor (can't remember how many). Also in this area is a new pool. We had a look at the pool this morning and it looks great. Can't wait to try out the new area next year.
Mum and her 2 sisters are staying just around the corner at the Casa Padma. They are in a Deluxe Suite which has 2 King size double beds. The room is huge and looks very clean. They are very happy there and will definitely stay again.
Hubby & I are here for business, but have managed to squeeze in a few fun things with the girls as well. We all went out to Serangan Island to visit the Dolphin Lodge and have a look at the Turtle Education & Conservation Centre. Fantastic day. Hubby & I have done this before, but were more than happy to go again.
Another afternoon was spent having High Tea at Biku and then waddling (too full to walk properly!!) across the road to have a cocktail at Potato Head.
We have ordered some leather from Mira Leather on Padma Utara and will pick up tomorrow. I have ordered a pair of boots for myself (700.000), a copy (for a friend) of a big handbag I had made last year (650.000) - it is huge & will fit a laptop, great for travelling - and another bag, copied from one my Auntie bought in Seminyak ( can't remember price as both Aunties are having it copied for their daughters and they have receipt - It'll be an interesting Christmas if we all turn up with the same bag!
Mum & I have also ordered big Canvas bags from O'ros Board Cover shop in lane between Poppies 1 & 2, to replace No 7 Bali Bag that died on the way over. (250.000). Picking up tomorrow as well.
Looking forward to dinner at La Lucciola & Jimbaren Bay in the next couple of days.
Also looking forward to watching the Ogah Ogah and experiencing the quietness of Nyepi. A day of R&R will be much needed by then I think.
Will try to get time to post again soon...Maybe Nyepi will be good for that too.
ps did most of the HNR this arvo & came back to finish tonight after dinner. Just made it through the door & the heavens have opened up. I think the cyclone may have changed course! It's p*#$ing down, blowing a gale & a huge cracks of thunder overhead. No warning...literally 5 min ago we were out on the street buying DVDs in calm conditions.
