Have booked several flights online with Garuda to Jakarta and or Bali using credit card..from Perth
Last ones I booked were in February
I have also booked online for Garuda domestic flights within Indonesia online using credit card
Have never had a problem & when booking domestic flights also had a call from Garuda confirming the flights booked etc
The website states which credit cards are accepted from which countries
It also states that for International flights the credit card holder used to purchase flights must be part of the travelling party.
Once booked you are then sent an Electronic Ticket Passenger Itinerary Receipt which you print off & take with you.
If booking over the phone Garuda do not accept credit card details...they will take the booking & send a form via email which you fill in , scan & send back
As for travel agents, generally I've found they either don't know a lot of things or give out misinformation.
If you you ever find a good one , stick to it as they are rare :)
